Hz

The pitch you hear. Lower is softer and less fatiguing; binaural beats work best below about 500 Hz.

Extra voices (layered multi-frequency)

Stack up to two more binaural pairs on top of the main beat, Hemi-Sync style. Extra voices are always binaural (headphones) and stay constant during programs.

Carrier tone presets (Solfeggio, 432 Hz…)

Traditional / esoteric associations. These have no established scientific basis.

      Mixer

Layer noise, nature or an illusion tone over the beats. Background layers play while a session is running.

      Beats
      Master

Background layers drift around your head. The beat tones stay put so the binaural effect is not disturbed.

Gently throbs the noise / nature / illusion layers in time with the beat, for extra entrainment.

      Breathing pacer

Breathe along with the glowing orb. Turn on the audio cue to follow it with your eyes closed: the sound swells as you breathe in and softens as you breathe out.

      Download as audio

Render your current settings (beats, voices, layers, effects, breathing cue, program) to a WAV file you can play anywhere.

      Frequencies & what they're for

Tap a card to load it. Each brainwave band is traditionally associated with a different mental state.

      Bilateral (EMDR-style)

The sound alternates between your left and right ear. 🎧 Headphones required.

      Voice stacks

Several binaural frequencies layered at once. Loads the main beat plus two extra voices.

      How it works

      Binaural beats

Each ear gets a slightly different tone, for example 195 Hz left and 205 Hz right. Your brain perceives a gentle 10 Hz "beat" that isn't in the sound itself. This only works with headphones.

      Monaural beats

The same two tones are mixed together before reaching your ears, so the beat is a real, physical wobble in loudness. It works on speakers too.

      Isochronic tones

A single tone switched on and off at the beat rate. This is the most pronounced pulse of the three and it works on speakers.

      Bilateral stimulation

The tone moves from ear to ear, like the alternating sounds used in EMDR-style practice. Slow rates (0.5–2 Hz) feel soothing and grounding.

      Noise & nature

Noise colours and synthesised rain, waves, thunder, wind, a stream, fire, forest birds or a cat's purr mask distractions. Everything is generated live, with no recordings.

      Shepard illusion

Overlapping octaves fade in and out to create a tone that seems to rise (or fall) forever. Rising feels like anticipation and focus; falling feels like letting go.

      Put your headphones on

Binaural beats require stereo headphones or earbuds. Each ear must hear a different tone. Through speakers the two tones blend in the air and the effect is lost.
